The activities of the parish are divided into four ministries: Welcome, Liturgy, Scripture, and Personal Enrichment. These ministry Groups are responsible for the direction of all activities of the church except personnel and finance. Each ministry group is composed of a Chairman, Vice Chairman and members representing the listed groups. The ministry groups meet monthly, as do each of the subcommittees.

A NEW MINISTRY

The Church of the Incarnation is beginning a new ministry to the singles living in the Highlands area. Dr. Kay Collier McLaughlin, founder and director of Solo Flight, an adult singles ministry of the Episcopal Church, will be here the weekend of March 4-6, to help inaugurate the ministry. That Friday, she will conduct leadership training for a steering committee that will be formed for the ministry. Saturday the 5th, Dr. McLaughlin will hold a seminar on issues of singleness for anyone in the area who is interested. Sunday morning, Dr. McLaughlin will speak to the Adult Education classes.
This ministry is not a dating bureau nor is it primarily a social outlet for single people. Rather, its purpose is to develop a program directed towards issues of interest to single people and to offer opportunities for spiritual growth, learning, fellowship and networking with those who share similar values.
Efforts will be made to encourage singles from every church and those not affiliated with any church, to participate in the ministry. A steering committee is being formed to give the ministry its beginning. We need some help in the initial organization and welcome your suggestions and assistance. Anyone interested in helping with this new ministry please call the church office, 526-2968 to offer your time and talents.
We urge all interested adults to mark their calendars for March 4-6 and plan to attend that weekend’s dynamic offering.
