Pastoral Care Committee

The Pastoral Care Committee at the Church of the Incarnation plays a vital role in extending the love and compassion of Christ to those in need within our parish community. Rooted in the ministry of presence and prayer, this dedicated group of parishioners helps maintain our weekly prayer list, ensuring that the concerns and thanksgivings of our congregation are held before God in both public worship and private devotion. They also reach out with handwritten notes and cards to those experiencing illness, grief, or other life transitions, offering tangible reminders that no one is forgotten or alone.

In addition to prayer and written encouragement, members of the committee assist with visits to the homebound and those unable to attend church regularly. Whether through a quiet conversation, a shared prayer, or simply the gift of time, these visits embody the church’s promise to care for one another as members of the Body of Christ. Working in collaboration with the clergy, the Pastoral Care Committee helps knit our community together in compassion, presence, and prayerful support. If you feel called to this ministry, we welcome your gifts—please contact the parish office to learn more.
